  • David Nelson, Ed.D, M.Ed.

    Dr. David Nelson has been a teacher, professional development specialist, and educational administrator since 1990. From 2019-2024, he served as the High School Principal at the American Community School of Athens, and in 2024, he will begin as the next High School Principal at Lincoln School—the American International School of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Nelson has a Doctorate of Education in Educational Leadership from Wilkes University, a Master's degree in Education from Western Oregon State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in History from Pacific University, Oregon.

    Dr. Nelson specializes in building collaborative environments that allow students and professionals to engage more deeply in dialogue, inquiry, and creative problem-solving, all to make their communities a better place for living and learning.

    Dr. Nelson has worked with the National School Reform Faculty®, Bloomington, Indiana, since 2012 as an International Facilitator/Trainer specializing in collaborative group processes and Critical Friends Group® work. He has conducted trainings and workshops worldwide, including in Greece, Guatemala, India, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, UAE, and in over ten States in the USA. Dr. Nelson has remained highly active working with other international schools through the Near East South Asia Council of Overseas Schools (NESA), where he also served as the school representative for over ten years and, more recently, as a member of the Professional Development Advisory Committee (PDAC).

    Dr. Nelson is the founder and creator of the Equity Maps® app, a discussion mapping Ed-tech visualization tool for the iPad. It is used by thousands of educators worldwide in 64 countries who seek to engage all voices in the classroom.

    Luke Ryan is a seasoned Digital Sales Manager at a prominent media company, where he spearheads innovative digital sales strategies, integrating the latest in AI and technology. His leadership has consistently led teams to surpass targets, emphasizing team training, growth, and the adoption of cutting-edge digital tools. Luke's professional journey is marked by his role as the creator of a technology-focused show, Into The Tech, reflecting his passion for tech and ability to make complex concepts accessible and engaging. His expertise also extends to advisory roles in high-stakes environments, including the Homeland Security Subcommittee, demonstrating his capacity to handle complex tech-related issues with professionalism.

    Alongside his professional endeavors, Luke dedicates significant time and energy to philanthropic causes, particularly those close to his heart. He is an active supporter of The Cure JM Foundation and Boston Children's Hospital, organizations leading the fight against juvenile myositis, a rare autoimmune disease that his son, Liam, courageously battles. Through leveraging modern media and marketing strategies, Luke's family amplifies awareness and support for these causes. Their efforts include sharing Liam's inspiring story, aiming to educate and inspire others. This dedication to social good showcases Luke's ability to use his expertise in digital media and marketing to make a meaningful impact in the nonprofit sector.
